Work From Home If You Can!

Here we are, working from home again, it’s difficult not to feel discouraged and frustrated. One of our beliefs is ‘Hope on the Move’ and that is still true even if we can't move too far!

Rhianna managed to find love in a hopeless place, so how do we find hope there? Even though we have been restricted from our regular community programs, our communities have shown that there is a heart and determination to care for each other under difficult circumstances. Put simply, we look out and see what needs done then look in and see what we can offer to help.

For us at StreetReach, finding hope at the minute takes shape of us having time to look at the future and plan what 2021/22 might look like, we are rescheduling sessions that were due to be delivered this week and next with the Carrickfergus and Larne M-Power group – we had awesome Trick or Treat packs designed to give out but instead of being annoyed that we couldn’t go ahead with them, we reinvented them as Thanksgiving Packs – check out our social media in November to see how we get on.

Hope is there to be found if you keep on looking, often it is our attitude during difficult circumstances that determines how we find it.

StreetReach is a collaboration between YMCA Ireland, Summer Madness and the Education Authority for the Carrickfergus, Larne and surrounding coastal areas.
