Possibilities Not Problems!

StreetReach believes that young people have a major role to play in our communities now, not just when they are adults and we want to help get the process started.

We’ve been doing this for the last few weeks with the Carrick and Larne MPower Group, encouraging them to look at their community from the perspective of how we can contribute. This is what Active Citizenship is all about!

This group have ideas for miles and have proved each week that you don’t need qualifications or training to care about your community They have simply been getting involved in contributing to the community and welcomed StreetReach in to have conversations about the possibilities, not the problems.

Covid Update

The new restrictions outlined by the NI Executive this week means we are once again looking for possibilities and not focusing on the problems. We are on a 2 week break along with schools and other generic youth provision but this doesn’t mean we won’t be working and planning.  There is always hope.

Our program availability is almost full for the next 6 months but if you have an idea that you’d like to talk to us at StreetReach about then make sure to get in touch as we like to help make good things happen.

StreetReach is a collaboration between YMCA Ireland, Summer Madness and the Education Authority for the Carrickfergus, Larne and surrounding coastal areas.
